they're open to trucks, the park opens at 9 am. and there is a good amount of mud out there. Landcruisers are fine also. I think that pretty much covers everything we need to know.

10 am in the parking lot I'm assuming is when we'll meet. I'll have my C.B. on channel 4.

Great Stuff! 40 minutes from my front door there is a serious off-road park. It took us 6 hours to go around the easy green trail. The black trails were mean looking. they would be a challenge for anybody. Tight woods, lots of hills, lots of slick gooey mud. Really tight raw trails. Not all beat up. If you run an 80 series, expect body damage. The guy said we were the biggest trucks to run out there, and I believe it. I don't think Bryan got much, but his Swampers kept his flares off the trees. I came home with one flare on the truck. No dents that I can see through the mud, but a lot of pinstripes.

I went snorkel testing up to the hood. Those things oughtta be banned. I would have a lot better looking carpet if that damn snorkel didn't suck me into the water. :D Water-proofing the engine worked great. Never stalled. Never even hiccupped.

best carnage was some guy in a stock Durango went out after us. The first obstical he hit he got stuck. He lost his bumper, both mirrors and tore up both sides of his truck. It took three quads to get him winched out. :bust: :bust2: We never saw him, but lots of folks were talking about it. Dumb-ass is lucky the quads could get him out as he didn't have another truck with him. :slap:

I managed to loose the web site info, but one of the other guys has it I'm sure. Archie's got the pics, too.

does anybody still wheel at oglesby, or has it been officially shut down? had some good times playing in the waterfall there.

Thanks again to gumby for riding shotgun. Here's a photo till gumby gets a link to his page.

http://www.thecliffsinsaneterrain.com is the website. That was really a great time. Alot of fun, and some real fun challenges. It is defenatly worth checking out if your in the area, or even if you dont feel like driving all the way out to Attica. Super easy to get to also. Just remeber to bring your directions when/if you get them. It never helps to forget them at home and then continually make wrong turns... :slap: Oh well, carnage was at a big time minimum so that adds to the fun factor alot too. Now I just cant wait to see the pictures.

That was the really crazy. I couldn't believe that the engine didn't stall or even sputter while gumby gracefully retreated the truck to higher ground. I actually was expecting the water to enter the window anytime. That shot was actually not the highest point in which the water went. I 'm still surprised that all his power electric windows were working after that soaking. I got water in my boots (that are over eight inches high)while inside his cab! I hope it all dried out by now.

Splash! With water at that height and no momentum, Gumby really demonstrated what a landcruiser could do. I thought you would be floating in that silt! The disc with the pics will be in the mail tomorrow! Not too computer literate :slap:

BTW the photo above was when I opened the passenger door draining the water and I wanted to thank gumby again for letting me ride shotgun on an adventure that everybody will be talking for a long time. Broke alot of records for vehicles traveled through the trail. Longest wheel base vehicle on the trail and heaviest trucks sustained on a very narrow bridge where Mr Bryans tires were hanging on both sides.

Yea, I'd defanitly add we were the widest trucks to go out there too. It got super tight at times, but as proved, its do-able. Again great time.
