I just got this e-mail and wanted to send it on to you guys. I'd be interested to see what this place is like.

"I wanted to let you guys know about our new off road ranch, Boulder Creek.
It is located 6.5 miles east of Marble Falls, Texas on Hwy. 1431.

The ranch is 3,600 acres. www.bouldercreekministries.org/offroad.html "

nice, close enough for a day trip for the austin folk. hopefully there's more than just the dirt roads in the pictures :D

Yep, I was thinking the same thing. $35 seems a little high but maybe the closer local will be worth it. Anyone up for checking it out in the next few weekends?

I'm in for a day trip sometime soon, that's less than 30 minutes away for me!

I'm trying to plan a day trip out there but haven't nailed down a free day yet. I also emailed them to see what the availability is (is it open every weekend? closed during hunting season?) I'll let you know what we decide if you're interested.

looks like fun. ithink i can see it from my house, but take about an hour to get there since it is on the other side of the lake! and no i don't want a damn bridge or ferry. jim

I am definitely in!!!

Say when and where. It would be very nice to take a day trip and get away from Austin for several hours. Let me know.

Sounds great, count me in.

Casey, Have you received any info yet?

Well I just got off the phone with them, and unfortunately no one in the office has info on what weekends or events are open. They took my info and assured me someone will get back to in the next two days. I'll let you know.

Jeff-

Thanks for following-up!! I kept meaning to call, but didn't make the time. Definitely let us know what's going on.

Just called the folks at Boulder Creek since I had not heard back from them. Again they did not have any info other than they will start to open trails in December. First for dirt bikes second, for quads and third, for trucks/jeeps. They put me on a mailing list so I can keep up with the progress. They are also passing my questions along to some one with more knowledge on the trails. They will be contacting me in the next two days. It sounded like possibly the truck/jeep trails could open as soon as late December. I'll update when I know more.
