Guys, new 1958 owner here. Quick question, is it worth signing up for the Connected Car Prepaid Unlimited Data for $20 per month? Let me know

I signed up for it to see how often I use it. If you have an AT&T phone that allows hotspot / tethering it’s basically the same thing (WiFi service for Toyota is AT&T). I have T-Mobile for my cell carrier and have only found 1 instance where AT&T had better signal so we used the car WiFi that one time. I will probably cancel the service if it gets used that seldom moving forward.

Oh, and for Drive Connect / Remote Connect (digital key) you don’t have to sign up for the WiFi Connect sub, thats just for having a hotspot for up to 5 devices to use while in your car.
