Hi ALL
Just wanted to introduce myself and look fwd to talking to you all more and more.
Today, I ordered a Metallic Titanium FJ - 6 speed. I got it with the convenience package, security system, all weather mats, XM radio, upgrade package #2, and roof rack.
It should be here in about 3 months. It will be a long time, but worth it in the end.

The Illini name is due to where I went to Graduate School. I graduated with my Master's in Technology Management from the Univ of Illinois in August 2006. I just have started my new job as an Engineer in the automotive industry.

Anyway, thanks for letting me join, and I look fwd to writing more posts. I have enjoyed reading the one's I have read thus far. Very informative/helpful!

Thanks!
JM

I hope you went to work for Toyota. It would seem kinda weird to order an FJ Cruiser right after you started working for Ford, GM, or Dalmer.

Hi there! I have a Metallic Titanium FJ too! Congtrats you will love it!

D'Animal

You are a smart one :) I was hoping someone put the two together.....just got a new job, and now a brand new FJ. Yes, you are right about who I work for. I am in an Engineering Training program.....and then will either head to TX or CA when done.......

It is an awesome company, and I am excited about owning a Toyota again. I had a Celica as my first car.....

Thanks
JM

You are going to enjoy your FJ, and the 6 speed rocks. Hope to see you at an event

Hey there

Thank you all for the welcome.

Just out of curiousity, what options/accessories do most put on their FJ from the factory?

I am not sure about where you guys are from, but here in KY, there are hardly any FJ's. I am originally from Florida, and you would see quite a bit of them, mostly the yellow or blue color. But here I rarely see them!

Thanks
JM

IMO, your biggie outta the factory would be the sliders, tho there are some nice aftermarket options out there too. Really, that's the first/most important upgrade to these for any offroad use since door sill repair is expensive ;)
