TERRAIN TAMER REPAIR / REBUILD KITS

We are still livin' the importer / wholesaler dream, supporting a great community of Cruiser owners through authorized resellers and installing shops (see signature panel below).

Most of our efforts and sales volume is tied to KOYO - based Terrain Tamer repair kits and parts - knuckle/steering/axles, transfer case and transmission.

To that end, we are launching a dedicated Terrain Tamer Bearing Kit Thread on this forum. Will mention that thread on this general Can Am thread but for details on what we offer, please check the other venue for more current and reliable information.

Here's the latest addition - making its way from Melbourne by plane - an H 151 rebuild kit for an HDJ 81. We will be stocking these going forward, to support recent USA arrivals and lucky friends in Canada.

Hi James -

Retail price for the SH5 kit below is $136, which includes spindle bearings. We usually see shops and owners adding new wheel bearings (Terrain Tamer WBK2 x 2 - genuine KOYO bearings, as the SH5 kit) for a total of $222 plus shipping.

Give one of the TT resellers a PM or call and they will take care of ya - thanks!

POPULAR RESELLERS:
LCP&C @beno | Cruiser Crap @mmw68|
Valley Hybrids @orangefj45| CruiserYard @arcteryx| TORFAB @torfab

SH5 - Includes misc. metal rings/felts

CONGRATULATIONS TO TORFAB ON THE NEW SERVICE FACILITY :bounce::bounce2:

Tor Slinning and the gang have moved to new digs in Everett, a short drive North of the old shop. A very functional and professional home for vehicle builds, conversions, maintenance/service/repair and parts sales - including Terrain Tamer and Harrop products!

Five vehicle lifts, offices, display / conference room, paved and fenced - what an upgrade!

Ward I'm interested in the full kit with Koyo bearings, but waiting on a friend's pending purchase of an 80 who'll also likely need one. Do you have them in stock?

Thanks!

James -
Short answer is yes, but we only sell through authorized resellers and installing shops. I will shoot you a PM with a suggestion, but the simple story is that we have a package deal through them for knuckle kit, Koyos, spindle lock kits and dust caps.

Cheers!

Congrats guys!

I just installed the Terrain Tamer clutch this evening. I must say I was tres impressed by it.

Dan
Thanks for both, Dan!

It is fun to find components that are a little bit better than the standard stuff - working on brake and steering options.

Did you mention TT hose kits, best quality hoses I have installed to date...

Comparable to Toyota? Or better somehow? I like that clamps are included in that kit, but I'm not a big fan of worm drive clamps.

I would say very comparable with Toyota..other hose brands I have used need some trimming to fit.

We need some more feedback, would you be interested in trying our hose kit out and letting us know your honest opinion on it Dan?

Compliments of otparts and Cruiser Brothers..

Absolutely I'd give it a shot. I like the abrasion sleeve I see in that BJ-74 kit, and coupled with how impressed I am with the clutch kit I just installed I would love to give it a shot.

BTW--I posted not he clutch kit in my "Addition" build thread Who likes addition? (FJ-60 + 1HZ)

Again: very impressed.

I haven't opened up the other TT boxes I ordered (1HZ timing kit) because I intend to keep it in the truck as a spare, just in case.

While I have not had the privilege of meeting Georg, Ward is a real gentleman which is somewhat of a rarity these days.
I've dealt with him for numerous components for my Cruisers and his customer service never ceases to amaze me.

Thanks Charles. Georg is a model to which I aspire. Your opinion of me is not universally held but I work daily to improve.
