New double DIN head unit fit question

I had a Pioneer double DIN head unit installed in my 2001 LC and there is a fit issue that I'm hoping can be resolved without cutting any of the dash facia where the factory head unit fit behind. The unit I bough has a screen that flips up and out so that a CD/DVD can be played. The new unit fits too flush at the top edge to allow the screen to lift when the eject button is pushed. Just posting to see if anyone has found a remedy that doesn't involve cutting or filing the dash.. Thanks for any and all replies. Jmc
