A deeper investigation into the problem indicated that tthere is enough brush left, but the interface between the bursh and the tinnerman style pressure fit clip is resistive. It was several hundred ohms on one of the brushes. I tried a little heat from a soldering iron, and got the resistance low enough for the train to run under the tree. I am going to look for some of the silver bearing glue and see how that works. In another few days, we will box it up again until next year.
