So we have a new addition to the fam. It has been a little over two years since we lost out Jackson and recently have been talking about a new addition.

Then, as I played Santa for my niece and nephew (literally with costume and all) last weekend as they were going to be away for Christmas I had other family members "play along." At one point the wife sat on my lap and I said "And what would you like for Christmas little girl." She said a puppy and this was the first time she had mentioned it in a few weeks.

So today she got her Christmas Gift. His name is Louie and he is a 7wk old Lab and Blue Nose Pit mix that we rescued. He is doing great so far with his brother and sister who are 11 and 6 and both Lab/Pit mixes.

Thanks....
And holy hell have we forgotten what its like to have a PUPPY!!! I think I got 5hrs of broken sleep on Sunday/Monday and wife got about the same last night.. Literally up every hour to 2hrs to go out and potty but atleast he is letting us know... now we got to get him used to letting us know when he is running around the house. But only had a couple accidents then again he is not even 8wks old yet so to be expected.

Got to take them out every waking hour. Works better than trying to have them let you know when it's time because you're telling them 'it's time'.

Yeah we are getting used to that... Have been making it a point to run him around the house with his brother and sister when I am home until he passes out. He has determined that he really likes sleeping on the couch and our bed so when he is tired he will go to the couch and try to get on. We are ok with this as the others are always on the couch. After close to a week of doing this, putting him on the couch is like giving him Nyquil, few minutes and BAM he is out!

Last night he actually only woke us up twice before I finally got up at 4:30am. By then he got up and wandered around the house with me a bit while I was getting ready and then had the wife up by about 5:30.
