Just found this club section. Figured I'd introduce myself. I've been here in NE Ohio since September. The rig's been mothballed since October. Just started it up the other day and it got the juices flowing again. Since September, I've seen precious few 40's rolling around NE Ohio, but more than I thought I would, and a couple right around the corner. One literally parked in a guy's yard a few weeks ago, less than 1/2 a mile from my house ! I've not introduced myself yet, but that's coming.

Anyway, here's a pic of the rig if you see me around. It's a 69, with a Hi Po 2F from Man-a-Fre that I had put in when the crank pulley fell off the original F.

It seems to be giving me a little compression problem as of late, and I wanted to see if you fellers knew of a good 40 mechanic in the area ?

Hi Todd--

Welcome!

Great looking rig man. Really nice.

If you are in Seville, Jim Chenoweth is about 1.5 hours to the south of you and goes by the name "FJ40Jim" here and he can help you out. He'd be your man. Drop him a PM.

A few of us here in the Akron area (not to far away from you), some in the Cleveland area as well. A few 40's, an FJ65, and a bunch of 80's.

We are going to CMCC next week--you want to join us?

Thanks for the invite, one of these times I'll come to an event. For the immediate future though, I'm a little tied up. My wife delivered our first born about a week ago, and we're working on trying to find a rhythm again. I fear it may be a while. But once the little one settles in, we'll hit the road for sure.

Thanks for the advice. Have a good time out there.

Jim,

Here's a couple pics of the engine, and it's "accessories".

I should add that these pics were taken just after I got it out of the shop and just prior to me installing the fan shroud.

Welcome to Ohio, and congrats on the new baby. Nice looking cruiser there, too!

welcome

Welcome Todd,
Had my first 9 months ago and she is all ready a cruiser head. How cool is that.
