The Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service released the Draft Nevada and Northeastern California Sub-regional Greater Sage-grouse Land Use Plan Amendment and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DLUP/DEIS) for a 90-day public comment period that closes January 29, 2014. The DLUP/DEIS considers six possible management alternatives for maintaining and increasing habitat for Greater Sage-grouse on BLM and Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest lands in Nevada and Northeastern California.
