The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Caliente Field Office has released the Chief Mountain Off-Highway Vehicle Trail Management Plan Environmental Assessment (EA) for public review. The preliminary Environmental Assessment was posted on the BLM Ely District website for a 30-day public review period which ends October 16, 2011. The EA has been prepared to analyze the BLM's trail development proposal, and is a site-specific analysis of potential impacts that could result with the implementation of a proposal or alternative action.
