Hello everyone,
Got into the 91 TLC pulled on the seatbelt to fasten and the spring apparently sprung.
I now have about eight feet of strap hanging around, because it will not retract.
I would like to replace the two front seatbelts (just to be balanced).
Any information on place that will do this for me?:wrench:
Thank you in advance for your replies.
Tim

Tried that.. I dont like the welts when they snap! Maybe my daughters hair ties.
I figure that a paint and body shop should do the trick. We will soon see.
Hey- cruiserdan, how much for the seatbelts?

Did you check Specter Off-Road? I was just looking at their seat belt section this morning and they had belts for the 80 series listed.

No luck with Spector, found a set at automix. $91.15 plus shipping. I'll continue surfing, see what is out there.

As I recall, the Toyota belts are expensive but Dan should be able to get them. Installation is not difficult and is covered in the FSM. Let me know if you need those pages.

Your best bet on reaching Dan is a phone call to Am Toy and leave a message if he doesn't answer. Next would be PM if his box is not full (frequently it is.)

It might be weeks before he sees a one-liner in the HDC section.

I shall make the call soon.
And I will be looking up the install pages, Thank you for the info.

Velardechile -

I got new seatbelts from Cruiser Dan for my '93 LC about a year ago. The price was not that bad with our Mud discount. I am definitely a one banana mechanic, but I was able to replace both front belts myself with some tips from Dan. I assume the job is similar on your '91. There were just a couple of trim pieces to be removed and then it's just bolts into the body. Pretty simple job.

Good luck and keep us posted how you do.

Evan
