I think I have finally isolated the vibration I am experiencing on deceleracion at around 65 mph to the worn slip yoke on my rear driveshaft.

Before I go spending $$$ I wanted to confirm this. Would anyone with an 80 be gracious enough to let me come over on pull their driveshaft and take it for a spin to confirm if that is my issues?

Thanks

I'm kinda far away (Woodbridge/Manassas) but would allow you to do it if no one farther north chimes up.

I'm game too. My black 80 is just sitting waiting for someone to buy her.

You can just pull the rear DS, lock the center diff and power off the front DS. Pretty common trick for diagnosing drive line issues.

If the DS has been recently removed, check to make sure the yokes are lined up correctly.

I have removed the front driveshaft and driven on just the rear....no vibes.

I have revmoved the rear driveshaft and driven on just the front....no vibes.

Both shafts in....vibes.

I did notice the rear shaft's yoke had a lot of play axially so I think that is my issue. I just greased the splines on the rear shaft and I will take it out tonight to see how that goes and proceed from there.

Thanks and I will be contacting one of you guys soon.
