Hey guys im up in campbell river and was hopeing one of you might have some parts i need to get my 40 back in action .Im looking for a heater and windsheild wiper switch. I have the knobs I just need the guts. Also if anyone knows of a hard top or rear doors for sale that would be sweet. Im not sure if it matters but its a 78. thanks in advance.

bj or fj ? ( I ask because of the voltage of the electrical bits) tho I guess if it's a 78 it's most likely 12v gas...

anyways, I have some of that. not sure on the wiper switch, tho I do have a bucket of switches....:hillbilly:

cheers,

theres a truck being parted out on usedvic... 77 fj40 .. he has a hardtop... think it was going for 200ish...

which heater do you need??

I'll be up to CR around the time you get out of camp... Let me know if you need anything small delivered. I don't think I hav anything you want except the amby doors... Not sure I want to part with them though... Let me think about it.

I've got a couple of sets of mediocre amby doors if I was to find a decent set I'd be happy to part with one of them... also I'll be going up to courtenay on the 19th if you need anything transported from victoria to courtenay let me know... I can check my buckets up in courtenay on the 19th I had an extra wiper switch... not sure if I still do

the hardtop was 300 and ambie doors were 50 a piece.... dont know the guy..

Thanks for the help guys!, i got the top and switches off the cruiser on used vic. The top is going on today im just waiting for the gel coat to dry.

not to stomp on this thread, but it looks like the looker has found...

might ye have a 12v headlight switch (with the dimmer) i could convince you to part with?

you would have to brave the spiders, but they should be frozen this time of year:hhmm:

seriously, i'm looking for a head light switch.

cheers

Damn dude...that'll be one well travelled switch !

I'll have a look, I should definately have the one off that 24v 42 harness, are they different?

But I'll brave the spiders and dig in the barn ... that bucket is right in the scary corner too...if it was August I'd say you're SOL....something like 14 wasp nests in there...

If you need one w/e I get back to BC I have a 12V one kicking around in a bucket somewhere being guarded by the mice (but I won't be back in BC for quite a while!)

yeah, I looked, no luck......not even on the end of the 24v harness, I was sure there was one on there...

and if I had one it wouldve been shyte anyways

Seems the goat barns waterproofing ability is compromized somewhat when a panel of roofing blows off.....who knew??

I'll see if any of the local horders have one for ya...

hmmm you may be right, that 12v head light with the 24v engine thing.

i don't know if they are different. printed voltage on the switch?

just had a look at the FSM wiring diagram, looks like the switch pulls from each battery. i'd guess 12v.

if you can find one i'll take it. i'm half a world away, and still looking for parts out of the goat barn...

send me a pm, i'll shoot you my info.

toshi: if'n the oceanic and tuberous one can't deliver, i guess i'll wait till you get back.

cheers
