Need Roll Cage work done... Help!!

We took the Cruiser to a shop today to try to heat and straighten the cage on the cruiser. Just got a call from the shop, the cage keeps going back into it's bent status. This shop is an auto body shop/fabrication type shop. Does anyone know of a good Metal shop or someone to take our cruiser to???

Is it the stock one, if so see if you can find another one around here. Here shortly i will be pulling mine out for a Metaltech one, won't be for a few months though.

Actually the guy at the shop only charged us $40 to fix the bolt holes in our windshield frame and after looking at it he was able to move the Cage over about an 1/2 to an 1". It still needs to go a little further, but we think we can get the hard top on now. So for $40 not too bad of work. Great guy to work with...

And to answer your question, No it is not stock. It is thicker and has more supports. It is quit sturdy, it may be a six point cage. The shop owner even tried strapping the cruiser to the floor and the pulley's to the support beams in his shop. The support beams started to bow before the cage moved...

Sorry, just seen it said cage. By the way you don't need no stinking hard top around here, took mine off too many years ago and have not put it back on.

yeah i know. Now that it is warm the top will stay off until winter. Just nice to be making progress on it. I hope to have it mostly road ready today if all goes well.

Got a rear heater in it ? If so you really do not need a hardtop around here.

no it doesn't have the rear heater. I am just not real partial to soft tops. I remember the one I had on my Jeep and what a pain it was to put on. I guess once it starts to cool off I can put the soft top on.
