Need help with finding tailgate cable

I have a 98 LC and one of my rear tailgate support cables rusted and broke. Anyone have an idea where I could get another one without being raped by Toyota?

Go to a West Marine and fabricate your own. Made mine that way for a fraction of what the dealer would have charged.

I just had my driver side snap on my '98.
They lasted quite a while. Got mine from Toyota, and I think I'll silicone them. The old ones collected water while closed, and rusted right in the middle.

^^^ cut the outer plastic in half (at the low point, when tailgate is closed).
