Hey All,

As the title says, I'm a DIYer with no formal mechanic experience/ training. I'm alright at replacing stuff, but crap at troubleshooting.

So my 05 is running fine, I'm doing the TB/WP, radiator, tensioner and AC compressor replacement when I noticed this leak. I'm guessing either an old hose or a seal/gasket but not sure how to narrow it down.

i attached some photos, but let me know what other info you need or what i should check as i take this thing apart. Like to fix it now while i have it opened up.

thank you!

I would check the power steering reservoir and see if it's low. One of the lines in your picture looks like one of the multiple power steering lines. I replaced a few sections on my 06 last year.

The rack itself can also leak internally. You can pull off one of the boots that cover the inner tie rod and see if either side is full of fluid. You could also ID it with some UV leak detector dye (have not tried that myself but it might be the easiest solution. I'm 90% sure it's the PS as mentioned above, or an oil leak from somewhere higher up on the motor.

Thanks! It was the PS lines and I've ordered replacements.
