Anybody know anyone trustworthy down here on the coast who does good work on Cruisers?

none. At least not advertised as a cruiser mechanic.
There was a 40 in downtown Fairhope getting work done this time last year... looked like an old Texaco gas station still doing mechanics work.
What kinda cruiser?

Whats wrong with your truck?

Ive got a friend in Mobile that worked at Toyota dealer in the 90s and does side work-he helped with my 80 when I still lived in Mobile. Paul's Automotive off Schillinger Rd in west Mobile might be worth talking to. My parents have used them to work on their '72 Nova and newer vehicles with good results. I also know of a mechanic near Grand Bay that does good work- not sure how familiar with Land Cruisers he is though.

I've seen his post in a couple other spots I think he was looking for someone to set his third member gears up. Sent from my iPhone using magic

Only place I know of for that in Mobile is Steve's Off Road. Not sure if I'd trust them for a Cruiser.

He did say in his other about a check engine light too.

Don't even think about going to Steve's Offroad for gears. I have seen some sketchy work come out of there. I have a friend her that showed me how to set mine up. Worked in a transmission show for years and is a toyota nut. He might be looking to earn some side money. I can ask him if you want.

With my old mini truck. I looked around forever for someone in Mobile that knows how to set up gears. No luck. Had to pay a local offroad club member here in beer.

I asked my friend and he said he is down. He could use the money. I think some of you have meet him. He did the sky pass last year in the 1st gen. 4runner. Hard to miss he is 6'7".
