My wife just lost the lower radiator hose (slipped off the radiator) AGAIN in our 4runner. She was on her way to Redding to pick up her stepdad's ashes and visit my dad. Same thing happened yesterday in Oregon and I had her take it to Wheeler Toyota in Grants Pass. Today my wife read me the receipt and all they did was reattach the hose, refill and pressure test .

Is there anyone in the central very NorCal area that can either recommend a decent shop or someone that could go up there, change the lower hose and clamps and t-stat? I'm about 700 miles away right now, but considering screaming down there than dealing with another incompetent mechanic again.

Oh, and I should probably mention that I swapped the radiator to an all metal CSF right before she left as I was afraid of the dreaded strawberry milkshake. The hoses looked OK so I reattached them and was going to replace them with trail gear's silicone ones when she got back. I also installed a brand new aisin fan clutch a month ago.

Thanks!

UPDATE: Tow truck should be there at 12:30 and the plan is to take it to Lithia Toyota in Redding. Is it a decent shop or should we take it elsewhere? Or do I just need to call them and babysit and tell them exactly what to do?
