I would like to replace my windshield and gasket on my 100 series. Does anybody have recommendations for an installer in Northern Virginia that knows how to do this per the factory manual (rivets instead of sheet metal screws, etc)?

Thanks
Louis

Nobody in northern VA has a windshield installer they can recommend for a 100 series install?

I had mine replaced at the Toyota dealer in Tyson's, but it was another company that showed up to perform the install. I can't say whether or not they used rivets as opposed to sheet metal screws.

They did the trim install correctly though. I've seen some people cut it short and then it ends up whistling at speed.

I just had it done at Safelite in Richmond. They sent me home to order new trim pieces because the idiot that did it last time siliconed them to the A-pillar. I ordered all new mouldings, dams, gaskets, rivets, etc from Toyota and printed out the relevant FSM pages and took them with me when I went back. They came and got me a few times just to show me they were doing it by the book. Overall, very happy. No leaks or noise.

There's always head tech at their warehouse, not the case with their mobile service.

Here you go. FSM pages are attached and available here:
http://dustbird.com/ih8mud/FSM/Body Mechanical.pdf pages 146-155

FSM is for a 2004, but identical to the ’98 hard copy I have. Parts list below is also for a ’98 LC, but I’d bet it’s the same for later years.

3 x 64813-52010 - DAM
1 x 56117-60050 - DAM
2 x 56115-02010 - DAM, RIGHT
2 x 75543-60020 - WINDSHIELD TRIM, RIGHT
8 x 90269-04053 - RIVET
1 x 75531-60030 - WINDSHIELD TRIM (included with glass at Safelite)

Re-usable and expensive, but mine were butchered from previous install
1 x 75533-60031 - WINDSHIELD TRIM, RIGHT
1 x 75534-60021 - WINDSHIELD TRIM, LEFT
