national public lands day!

So we have had some spectacular trail rides this summer, all thanks to the great gift of public lands. we are so lucky to have access and even luckier to have proximity. September 24th is national public lands day and I think we should give back. I think we have a strong club and have a responsibility to be good stewards of our public lands. I think we need to develop relationships with the forest service and gathering some volunteers for that day may get us a foot in the door. that's all I really have, I haven't reached out to the forest service yet, I need to know if we can muster volunteers. im pretty sure we can based on our flathead clean up day. I would like input.

Sam, that is a great idea! Here is the link to the the National Environmental Education Foundation's website. This is the organization that puts on this event. It is noted that the major sponsor for this event is Toyota USA! I searched and have found out that there are no events scheduled in our area so we should absolutely get a group of people together and participate in this event! I will reach out to the Forest Service to see where we can have an event.
