My Platelet Donations

Many of you are aware that I donate platelets at the American Red Cross every other Monday evening...well, I wrote an article about it as this is American Red Cross month and it's been published in the online section of the Orange County Register.

Cool man, that is some impressive discipline and inspiring motivation. I use to donate a couple times year when the truck would come to my work while living in San Diego, but times have changed. I'll make it a point to donate in the next few weeks!

With everything you've been thru Mo, were you a 'user'? I've never known anyone personally that has had a need for platelets. You never know, you may have some of me in you!

Could be some of yours in me, I took 54 units in the first 24hrs and about 28 units over the week following. Nothing like a thorough fluid change to baseline yourself.

Well, we do preach to all newbie's that they should baseline their fluids, but that's extreme. Worth every minute of donor time tho knowing people like you are helped.
