Started to address the issue of getting in the pig without a stepladder. I intended to bend the main tube at the front and realized I sold my 2 inch bending die. Sucks to get old and forget things.

Completed yesterday. Bolted them on this morning to take a Father's Day drive and the battery was dead. No drive today. Charger still working 6-7 hours later. I'm guessing it's time for a new battery.

Yeah
Wanna see how you attached them. Btw like that color combo!
I fabbed a U-shaped bracket to slide up the frame from the bottom and a bolt goes in across the top of the frame to clamp it tight. Depending where you weld to the frame bracket the tube angle is either 15 in front and 20 degrees in the rear.

Curious fuel sender behavior with my Speedhut fuel gauge last night.

It was the first time I've driven with headlights on. My fuel low indicator LED lights up randomly. Seems like it comes on when I accelerate and will also come on with deceleration. It doesn't illuminate when headlights are off. Hmmm?

I have the low set point configured to light at 1/8 and the gauges is registering above 3/4. Why different behavior with headlights on?

Sent a video to Speedhut but no responses yet.

Oil press sender? Lousy spot buried under there.

I finally got around to cutting down a front driveshaft and installing. I figure my dial indicator got me close enough to something that might run around town in the winter without vibration.

Installed everything but I can't seem to engage the vacuum switch. My suspicions point to the assembly on the firewall. SOR lists an overhaul kit that's been discontinued.

I have validated the transfer case shifts properly by applying vacuum to each hose at the transfer case. I bet there is some internal mechanism that diverts the vacuum between the two bottom outlets on that firewall assembly.

Before I tear mine apart, has anyone fiddled with one and can offer some guidance? I'm hoping it's a few o-rings to fix it.
