I got my KO2's installed this weekend too. I'm getting a mild vibration/wobble around 55-70. I'm guessing they'll need to rebalance them. Who did you end up using for the mount and balance?

4wheelparts did it. They were great to deal with and I've had it up to 75 without issue. @FishTown

Curious if you used shims on your front with the lift. I've seen some with and some without. Notice any difference in the steering feel? Also, why Bilsteins, it seems like most of the OME kits come with the OME shocks.

I had shims ready to use but we tried without them and the truck drives great. Straight at any speed and no wobbles. Steering effort is the same.

I don't think that the OME shocks were all that great for my application. More on road then off. I've always used Koni and bilstein on my cars and for this application, I called Bilstein directly. They verified the balving based on my needs and I can tell you this, the truck drives and rides better than my 2004 tacoma with new oem shocks. Plus I hear the OME shocks are just marked up Monroe shocks. Didn't like that. I paid $100 less for these German made shocks.

It doesn't ride like an Oxcart despite having super heavy springs. Exactly what I wanted. @abtx4x4

Thanks for the input @HemiAlex I have Bilsteins on my truck and really like them compared to the old shocks. I have OME on my 40, but it came with those so I don't have anything to reference for how different they ride.

I'm about to order a lift for my 60, could you list the part numbers you used for the shocks on your truck, I think I'll go with Bilsteins for it.

I've got numbers for a light load shock up front with no extra winch/battery/bumper and I went one step up from there with a differently valved HD shock.

The rear is nothing special.

I've got notes that I can give you in a few days @abtx4x4

Went from Houston to Lake Charles on a whim for work.

Took the old truck because my Tacoma is missing the spare. No regrets, the tires are breaking in nicely and it feels comfy at speed. I even got it to 76mph, which is a new record. It eeked out a solid 14mpg running for 2.5 hours at highway speed.

I've also got a small Yakima load warrior rack on loan from a friend. It needs a megawarrior for this size of truck.

Thanks, I'll be adding a bumper so I'll probably look at the HD versions.

Today I had a moment in between work so I went and fixed a nagging problem.

Since my old shackles were stuck and I added the ome shackles, I've had my exhaust running the rear DS ome piece.

Stopped by a small exhaust shop and he fixed it up cheaply. No more rubbing and vibration coming into the chassis.

It Also turned 286,000 miles old. I'm pushing to drive it as much as I can while gas is cheap.

Here are the shock numbers I used...

Fronts needed the lower bushing opened up to 5/8" and my rears slipped on without issue, but I've got a 5/8" upper stud from when I added my new rear shock crossmember.

The tires have been on since yesterday and I love it.

Knocked down 13.4mpg today on a 150 mile trip into the Texas hill country. The truck acted good.

Needs a good center console. The princess spilled her drink on a u turn, so now I've got an excuse to upgrade.

Man... next time you take a trip to the hill country you need to let us know. Would be great to check out your rig and have a beer :)

For sure! @CenTXFJ60

I'm planning on coming up to Austin for the lonestar round up next weekend and taking the cruiser since my hotrod isn't running, unless work decides otherwise. Friend wants me to romp around his farm in Bastrop Around that time.

I'm overdue to visit the inlaws around Ft.Hood anyway and the princess wants to do another trip in the cruiser soon.

The front is a 5125 33-230368 series with 360/80 valving for the additional weight up front.

The 5125 33-230351 is what they suggested for a stock truck and what I believe @houstonfj40 is running on his 60 series. Also I believe @1985zcar is running the same.

Anytime you're close to the Canyon Lake area, give me a call. Look forward to it. Thanks, Jim. 713-895-3962

Currently away from home in Washington state. Was browsing online and found a Rockford r600x5 amplifier. Planning on putting it under the back seat and building a box for a single 12 in the back.

I want to take these ideas and have my friend who is a carpenter build me a box to fit in between the wheel wells snuggly with a downward firing 12 in stealthy tool box.

I want to have the box with a lid on top to have some storage for straps and tools. I want to cover it in the same rubber diamond plate. I've ordered stainless latches and hinges from Amazon. I want to make it look more like a tool box than a speaker system.

I refuse to tint the windows so I have to keep it stealthy.

62 series rear sway bar ordered from eBay.

Hoping to make it just that much more civilized. Calling @cruiseroutfit for extended end links.

Glad you got the exhaust taken care of (it kind of bothered me too)! I'm with you on the tint. You should be able to build a low pro box rather easily and cheaply. Interested in seeing the sway bar and the difference it makes. Missed you this last weekend!
