FJMouse said:Drove to Austin today. A guy on a motorcycle almost wrecked in front of me trying to look at the FJ. OR WAS HE LOOKING AT MY NEICE? HAHAHA It was not a bad ride on the highway and in town. I have been driving a 91 Jeep wrangler for the last 12 years and I was amazed at how smooth "new" manuals shift gears and how light the clutch it. (little things make me happy and simple things amaze me!)
Now I just need to find a big old mud hole to play in!!!!
I agree. My 78 FJ 40 still shifts smoother than most car manual transmisions.greytandy said:Japanese shifters and clutches are years ahead of American in terms of usability. This is a BIG deal if you get stuck in regular traffic jams. The ride was what sold me and my wife. Firm but not bone jarring. Now go have more fun!![]()
