I guess I can't really comment on this because I don't know how bumpers looked in the 90's....never really noticed them during my childhood. But if they look so 90's, then I suppose it's time period appropriate (since mine is a '95). I like it, so I must like that old school 90's look!

Hey Jen,
what's the story on the black mirrors? Is that an alternative shakey mirror fix? Are they still power mirrors?

Yes, powered mirrors and plugs right in. Easy installation, fairly inexpensive and decent quality. Plus, the black matches the existing black trim very well. Here is a recent thread with Amazon links and pictures of them: Depo 312-5407R3EB 312-5407L3EB Side Door Mirrors

Let's not clutter up this lady's thread with your opinions. She likes the bumper, you don't. Move on.
Ok bro sorry for the inconvenience it wont happen again

Some weekend fun.

Found a rear grab handle from a wrecked 80 and installed on the drivers side. I just had these 2 little plastic plugs in mine, so filled it with a grab handle. I know...taking tech to the extreme on this one, but it's actually pretty useful when the running boards are removed and you are short like me!

I use the a-pillar grab handle every time I get in. Short people unite. Still not OK with the flat bill :p

I use mine all the time and l'm 6'-5" as I have no sliders or running boards.

Wow.. What a great looking 80. Something about a white 80 with stock wheels, mild lift, AT's, ARB, roofrack, and a snorkel... it just looks right. It doesn't need anything else.. yeah, maybe a winch! I have to say. I miss the white letter TOYOTA grill though!

Hawaii is an amazing place, too!
I didn't notice the truck or the State.

Sweet white 80!!

Sweet white 80!!
Thanks! Where you been hiding, I never see other white 80s anywhere on island? My husband sees one sometimes around his office in Salt Lake area, i wonder if that's you?

That's me!!! We should plan a LC cruise!!! Do you have access to Kaena? Always down for a Toyota get together beyond the locked gate!!! Lmk!! I could get a few 4 runners to join in too!

That would be fun. I have been wanting to start a Hawaii Land Cruiser club page on Mud or FB, to help organize stuff easier. We don't have a Ka'ena point pass, my husband was going to look into getting one, but he thought they issued them by calendar year. But the area up by peacock flats is pretty good coming from Wainae side.

Start the club and I'll be the 1st member!!

@Aloha Jen how is the sheepskin seat cover in your warm humid climate? Does it get "swampy"?
Its not real sheepskin, its like a fluffy padded fleece and its pretty comfortable....but the only reason it is on there is because the DS seat appears to have fought with a wolverine! And I didn't know what "swampy" meant so I Google'd it...... 1. Gross! and 2. No, I do not get swampy! Sounds like a man problem.
