Seems some on the blue forum are experiencing problems with their throwout bearings in their standard transmissions. Anyone else here with that problem? I am at almost 20K and no shifting problems, no noise coming from the transmission.

Yup! Toyota said they would cover it. Waiting for parts now.
MT6 Throwout bearing
No Throw out bearing moise but the trans seems noisey especially when in traffic just crawling along. I can see how the Throwout bearing can go bad since the engine idles so high. I have to keep pushing in and letting out the clutch or I will hit the guy in front of me. I have almost 5K and will be talking to Toyota about it when it goes in for the 5K check up. Also the rinning gear seems to have a lot of slop in it almost like the diff or u joints are bad.
Anyone else got any ideas?

hmm.. mine just creeps along in 1st. I think you posted about idling high before? You ought to take it to the dealer and have em look at it.

What was your transmission doing when you figured there was a problem?
