Hi all! fairly newly registered to the site. I have seen posts about MPG of the FJ but have not yet seen the data I was looking for. I am getting around 18MPG and others here are getting more than that; upwards of 22MPG. I would like to run a data sampling to see if MPG is affected by a roof rack and based on #'s hopefully obtained here; if the Factory Air Dam is worth the $600.00 that Toyota charges for it. All I would need is type of transmission, your average MPG, Octane rating of fuel, and IF you have a roof rack or not; if you do; please list if it is an aftermarket or not. Any help you all can offer is greatly appreciated. I'll start if off below:

2007 FJ
Factory Rack
Auto Trans
93 Octane
18MPG

all this research has already been complete and posted online.

I'll bet driving habits have a lot more to do with gas milage then the roof rack does. Wheels, tires, lift and other things will also have some effect.

2007 FJC TRD SE
Factory Rack
6speed MT
TRD air filter & exhaust
TRD Wheels & BFG A/T KO's 268/75/16
CB & HAM antanas
93 Octane
15MPG
Lead Foot.
