Hi guys! My name is Charity..2 year member currently of ONSC . .( North Carolina) The huz is retired Navy and he helped me get "Jane" my 74FJ40 up and running.

Any who, long story short, Walmart recently decided to build a supercenter right up to our property here. We have friends in NOLA, and we absolutely fell in love with the city and now that walmart is trying to shack up next door, we figured, .what the hell...might as well go somewhere new..

My question, is really more of a suggestion request..we want to live within an hour of NOLA..but we want a decent school for our 13 year old..I figured you guys know landcruisers, so maybe y'all could chime in with some suggestions for specific areas..LMK! Looking for up $100k home, 2 bed 2 bath, small and quaint is fine.

PS. All my work on Jane was done on a gravel driveway. I'd really love to have a garage ;)

For great schools and close to NO look in the Mandeville / Covington / Slidell area. St. Tammany parish always ranks very high in the quality of the school system in the country. It's the reason my wife and I moved to Mandeville 11 years ago. We love it and have 2 kids in school here. Another place would be in St. Charles Parish. I am not as familiar with that area as far as good places to live but again schools rank high and it's close to NO.

What's funny is I remember reading a thread that you started or chimed in on a long time ago and people were amazed that you were a woman taking on your 40. LOL. An early welcome to the area but if you need help finding a real estate agent or anything else out this way just ask. More than happy to help you guys out if I can. :D

Isn't one of the LLK guys a Real Estate thing
