I have a line on a Willys Bantam trailer - 1947. This is like the WWII military trailer, but with a tailgate. Anybody have an idea of what it is worth?

Thanks

M

If it's in good shape (meaning the integrity of the metal, especially the floor, is not compromised) and has all of the unique pieces (hitch, landing gear, tailgate and tailgate hardware), you should be able to get upwards of $800-$1,000, there's significant demand for these early trailers among early Jeep enthusiasts. It won't sell quickly, though, you'll have to do some research to place it correctly (although Ebay might be a quicker route).

I paid 850 for a 46 BT3-C that is very clean, very original and was owned by one family since it was new in 46. I have seen these sell for well over 1k on Epay for nice ones. of course condition is everything.

Mike,

As you know these trailers are really hard to find, and if you find a clean one your really lucky. The tailgate is the big plus on this trailer. But you know the 101s are really neat, and you can have the door cut into it.
