Monache Meadows Camping

looking to make a trip to Monache Meadows in the near future. this will be my first time and looking for tips/advice on finding a camping spot.

bonus points for a location(s) away from group camping spots and the associated noise.

My favorite is the river campsites at the far end of the meadows.

I have been to Monache a few times. I usually base camp for several days and go fly fishing.

As Brent said, the river sites are beautiful, and you can try to get an end spot for a bit more privacy.

As an alternative, there are a few spots just before the river crossing. The upside is there are fewer spots, so you don’t get as many people camping there. The downside is that the spots are fairly close to the trail, so you will get traffic from those heading to the river sites. Hope this helps, and that you have a great time!
