I have a GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) spec 1997 Prado VZJ95L that was imported to BC Canada from Dubai. The truck is missing the rear centre lap belt, even though it has a receiver buckle that says "CENTER" on it. It looks like the lap belt was either torn out or cut out for convenience purpose. Any information on retrofitting the centre belt?
Also, the vehicle has side-facing 3rd row jump seats that don't feature belts at all. I'm not sure how lawful it is to ride back there, but BC seatbelt laws state that older vehicles not equipped with seat belts aren't required to have them retrofitted. Is there any modification I can do to make them legal?
