got the PHH done on the 80 today. huge thanks to landtank/rick for not only the guideance but also the help. we also discovered that the wheel bearings on the d-side were all loose... way too loose. so he helped me go in there, repacked all the bearings and tightened it all down to spec.

it drove SO MUCH BETTER on the highway. amazing what a difference.

a few more tweaks and the truck is complete.

Good news Pete. Glad you found and adjusted the bearings. Were they worn or just loose?

Guess we coulda/shoulda looked at the drivers side when we had the passenger side off to replace the seal. Has the passenger side stayed leak free since?

just loose. super loose. the tabs were not bent on the washer between the two 54mm nuts. its all good. i learned a ton pulling that part of the wheel apart. very fun.

i also installed my hella map light today and ripped out the dash wiring for those reverse lights that never worked. they are coming off any way when my iron Pig Offroad bumper gets here!
