Mirror disassembly

Hey, everyone,

i was wondering if anyone had any tips for taking the side mirrors apart. I have them off, have the glass and motor out and the wiring all unplugged. I am trying to get the front plastic detached form the back. i have removed the few screws but i can't get most of the black plastic to budge. If anybody has any tips or thought i would appreciate it.

Who is the manufacture of the mirror? Some mirrors are potted, front bezel to the glass.

Factory

The mirrors are Toyota, they came off of a silver FJC. It feels like there is clip or screw holding it on but i am unable to find anything like that left.

Can you post a picture? What are you taking them apart for?

The mirror glass is held on by plastic clips behind it. Go here - Heated Mirror - Full Install - Toyota FJ Cruiser Forum and scroll down until you see the picture of the mirror turned out away from the door. Make sure to put some tape on the bottom edge of your mirror housing for protection.

Need to disassemble more.

I am pulling them apart because I am going to fab them onto my FJ80, and i need to pull it apart in order to make my markings on where i need to cut/drill/bolt and in order to get my wiring spliced up correctly.
