This past Saturday I drove my 40 for the first time after the re-seal project and it's running perfect in every possible way. The wife and I decided it would be nice to go up Mount Pilchuck as it was a beautiful sunny and crisp day. Pilchuck is about a ten minute drive for us and the 40 purred all the way up the mountain where we met other offroaders and continued on our trek. Here are a few pics of the outing.

I still need to finish the overhead console wire routing down the windshield columns but we have plenty of time during our loooong cold winter.

Thank you. Both engine and transmission had leaky seals, gaskets, clutch etc. so it was time to properly fix all the leaks. I had a great time doing it and looking forward to my next project, I'm now looking for an FJ80.
I was referring to the issue you were having when you couldn't shift through the gears while your transmission was out.

It was just my lack of transmission expertise, I was trying to re-install the shifter cover to the tranny and the gears and shifter weren't lining up correctly, it took several tries but finally got it aligned with the tranny, not a big issue.
Dang jack...I'm jealous!
WOW looks great, well done! Where did you find the foam seal for the blower?

It was a separate acquisition about ten years ago, unfortunately it was not a complete set of tools.

Thanks for the kind words! I purchased the foam seals from a MUD vendor, however, I recommend going to Home Depot for the same product and it will be less expensive.

No one noticed that the tie strap on the crank, when you were pulling the crank pulley nut, was going the wrong way.
The pic was taken before I fixed it.

Thanks! It was definitely was a slippery slope, but well worth it as I hated all the old oil leaks.
