OK, so I just bought a MF-1050 and intend to hard mount it on my truck. Not sure if anyone has done any mods but I have an extra 125/150 psi switch from Viair that I was gonna mount on the outlet to switch the compressor off when I walk around to the next tire.
Basically the compressor should fill the hose in a few seconds and switch off, then kick back on as soon as I start using it on the next tire.

My question for those of you with firsthand experience is do you think the compressor will hit 150 psi easily? Some have done this with a 115 psi switch with great results and I just don't wanna have to buy another switch for $20 if I can use my 150 psi switch.

No tank, just want to fill tires and have the compressor switch off in between or if I walk away for a minute. I have this switch leftover from a York setup, and a 150 psi blowoff valve and manifold/ regulator.

Maybe I should set it all up with the stuff I have and a lower pressure switch? Then the blowoff valve will be JIC the switch doesn't work and I walk away?

that's a good compressor. I have a couple of them. Never thought about it but I'd be pleasantly surprised if they would reach 150psi with any sort of flow....

Then again, not sure why you want to do that. Why can't you walk around the truck with the compressor going? You can always let the air out if you are concerned about overtaxing it.
