Hey guys, IIRC Atomic Fabworks is no more so is there any other good, fair metal fab shop in the KC area? I live in the Crossroads so I am pretty much straight in the center of the city. Need to get a front bumper done and possibly sliders.

Curious as to who the guys suggest... I only knew of Atomic Fab.

Are you dead set on a custom bumper? Due to economies of scale, they're typically more expensive and may not be as perfect as one that comes from the guys that crank 'em out on a regular basis (i.e. ARB, Slee, and even 4x4labs).

Sliders on the 80 are pretty labor intensive as well due to the rigors to the frame, unlike, say, a Jeep. You could find yourself paying more for a custom set of sliders than what you would bolt on from Metaltech, OPOR (a product of Metaltech that's about $600), or others.

Also, welcome to the club! There's a great group in town that's pretty diversified in what they know, who they know, and how to get it accomplished.

Post up some information and pictures about the rig as well.

The bumper I like is no longer available and the next version of it costs 1600 dollars. And I would at least like a quote for sliders.

There is a club member down by Hillsdale Lake that does this kind of work but he is not very active on IH8Mud lately. He has very solid fabrication skills and he is the one that did my exhaust for me. I will PM you his contact info.

I wonder if he can do axle swaps? Which would work out perfect since he is just down the street from me. Is he open to work? I dont want to bother him if he just does it for his own personal stuff.

@turttletoy When I was out there dropping off for exhaust work he had 3 other vehicles ready to be picked up for various projects so yes he does take on other stuff. However, when I picked it up he had just committed to a large welding side project. I sent a feeler out to him to see how much he wants to take on and/or sharing his contact info.
