Whether the economy kicked ur butt, or u pay $10000 a month in child support or your just a plain cheap-ass (like me) then this camping trip is for you! I love the beach but I have no desire to travel 4 hours to the oregon dunes nor be packed in some campsite with 300 other people while someone runs their generator all night. I have found a place on the coast as close to medford as possible that allows you to drive/camp on the beach for free. Anyway, we are planning (weather permitting) on heading over Saturday morning and coming back Sunday afternoon but u can always stay longer. We camped on a little dune last time that was accessed though an ohv area, but if there is more than one 4wd I would be tempted to go camp on the beach itself. No water, no toilets, no nothin but sand. We can always do a little wheeling on the beach or the ohv area but mostly I like to drink beer, hit biodegradeable golf balls, drink beer, walk the beach, drink beer, throw the footbal, drink beer or kick the soccer ball and sometimes I even drink beer. Anyway, all are welcome. Super kid friendly (we need someone to bring the beer to us anyway). We can have a fire on the beach and I'm bringing our small bbq. Keep in mind this is weather permitting, I'm not going if its raining!

According to the map I just looked at I would call it kellog beach. there looked to be a bunch of roads in the area but those were not there 2 years ago so I am skeptical they are there now especially with this economy.

Yes but no.. they are the hydroplane boats, much tamer, based on a small wood frame pickle fork or wedge nose about 16' long and with a tweaked 2 stroke outboard/prop vs. !00's of HP with a big jet- it is still pretty extreme just not as fun to watch.

Well, if you guys are camping.... Have fun and bring a pop up tent for cover! As for the rest of the folks who are stayN local, I will be in BFE (Sykes creek, Rogue River) at the in laws thru Sunday if anyone is intrested in some wheelN HOLLER!!! or maybe we could set something up for Monday.... What jews guys think?

We're definitely going but at the moment the spending the night part is a little iffy. We will pack for it but probably make a decision after we've been there most of the day. I'll get some pics of my 4runner on the beach though!

Supposed to be in the 80* - 90* range... I would just be okay with no rain!
Should have read Jamisters last post before I drove down to Kellog beach. Rained a little this morning and sprinkled some around noon. Been clear blue sky since and mid 50's. Had fun exploring some of the atv trails and a little of the beach. Nobody there to pull me out so didn't chance going too far. My nagavator will be home on Sundayso I will be expected to do something responsible ***#@(/)****.
