The meeting started at 2:15 in the Little Beach clubhouse on Erskine Lake in Ringwood, NJ.
The first order of business was to thank Eli from Camel4x4 www.camel4x4.com for the raffle prizes and OB & Sheri for getting the clubhouse.
Jon provided the Treasurer report: Last year the club lost about $580 for the year. It is believed this loss was mainly due to the women's event shirts from CMCC.
Last year we purchased and sold GCLC hoodies. A call for new swag suggestions went out. Some suggestions were: Antennae flags, hats, larger stickers, windshield sun banners... All suggestions will be reviewed by the board and a new swag purchase will be made at some point.
Mark provided the Membership report: We had 39 active members in the club at the start of the meeting. We picked up 5 new members. 10 members renewed. We are now at 43 current members.
Safety Inspection Checklist: We have changed the safety inspection list. A few minor changes in wording have taken place, but the biggest change was regarding firearms being brought on the trails. The wording was changed to not allow "illegal firearms".
Please note that we would prefer that firearms of any sort are not brought to any GCLC events/gatherings. It is completely inappropriate, unnecessary, and just plain stupid.
Tom provided the Delegate report:
* The TLCA is pushing to be more active in the sanctioned events. They have updated their web store with new items. 3 new international clubs have joined the TLCA, 2 from Canada, 1 from Brazil.
* The cost for the insurance-event rider is going up to $350.
* The TLCA will try to be more active by sending a banner and Toyota Trails for the events.
The annual events that we will attend this year will be:
* April 6-8 FJNortheasters Event (Rausch Creek)
* May 2-5 Cruise Moab (Moab, UT)
* May 25-28 Memorial Day Weekend at Dave's Place (Cairo, NY)
* July 11-14 2012 Coal Mine Cruiser Classic (Rausch Creek)
* Sept 1-3 Labor Day Weekend at Dave's Place (Cairo, NY)
* Sept 28-30 Yankee Toys Fall Gathering (Hancock, NH)
* Rami has offered to host something to club members at his property in the Adirondacks. His property is 460 acres and has original logging trails. Jon and Nick were there last year and helped with trail maintenance. The property has an existing trail network but more clearing will be needed if more difficult trails are sought. The property is about 6 hours from NJ in Fine, NY.
The Yankee Toys will also be hosting a off road training class the last weekend in April. Contact Bob OConnell from the Yankee Toys for more info.
Gregg from JDM Land Cruisers was in attendance. His company imports quality RHD Land Cruisers and other vehicles directly from Japan.
