Meet "Fat Amy" my Amazon Green 200 Series

Well, I cant leave things alone.

My quest for 37s continues. I bought a set of 1" strut spacers on Ebay for a Tundra, assuming they would fit my TLC struts. A 1" strut lift equates to 2" at the wheel. So, I went about getting them installed.

First thing I noticed, was that they were billet machined aluminum, powder coated, and came with Grade 8 hardware. Pretty impressive considering that I only paid $50 for the pair.

Unfortunately, they did in fact, NOT fit. Well, not until I got ahold of them with my angle grinder. I'll toot my own horn here too---just look at that nice grinding!

Once modified, I attached them to the struts

Will a lot of effort (a ton actually), I got them fitted

New stance (before I reset my camber with my SPC UCAs.

I decided to take some of the pre-load off of my springs, so dropped it an inch or so, but improved my ride quality. I can always add the preload back, if I want it to sit a bit higher.

During the spacer install process, I hyper-extended my passenger's side CV joint. I originally thought I broke it, but turns out, I pulled out a snap ring, and the whole thing fell to pieces. So, now I'm in the process of rebuilding mine. I'm going to have to order a new boot and clamps.

That is looking awesome. You're going to have to resubmit your 200 for a new drawing by the guy doing each series.

Do they make a diff drop and lower control arm drop? If not you will constantly be replacing cv axles.

I've got a diff drop already; the CV angles are great. My problem was that I hyper extended my LCAs to fit the extended length strut into the bucket. The LCA was still attached to the hub assembly, which when hyper-extended, put too much force on the CV. Remeber, that in order to fit the strut into the bucket, I've got to push the LCA even lower, to clear the edge of the bucket--further than the LCA will ever actually travel in real life, as the fully extended strut itself will be the limiting factor. What I should have done is just unbolt the hub assembly from the LCA first. That would have saved me a ton of trouble, and would have allowed me to easily install the strut into the bucket. Live and learn, I guess.

Nice work, it looks good!

There's gotta be a law against using Harbor Freight tools on a 200 series though.

Like the looks of the toyo open country r/t 37/12.5/r17s.

I'm digging the square profile and the 45k mile warranty.

@FJ60Cam , I have beaten the hell out of that angle grinder; it is at least 4-5 years old and still going strong.

The Eathquake impact driver has been flawless too.

Some of the HF stuff is junk, but I have been fully impressed with some.

The 72 tooth 1/2" drive swiveling ratchet I have is the bee's knees; it feels like it should say Snap-On or Proto on the side. Seriously, it is THAT well made.

Got the bumper adjusted and spaced correctly.

When I can find a buyer for my Nittos...

Noticed the powder coat had failed around the parking sensor hole. I got the paint off and sanded down, and afterwards, sprayed it with some black enamel. Turned out nice.
