I was hit by an older man(innocentish and a nice guy).
He struck the rear driver side wheel/rim while he ran a red light(about 15-20mph). There was no body damage but the wheel shows damage as well as parts of the rear suspension(to my knowledge)

Question:
I dropped it off at the toyota dealership but What should I as them to look for SPECIFIC to a head- on- collision...? axle,ublots,brakes,etc..

Thanks for any help.

oyea-2007 crewmax limited....Thank GOD not to my 84' fj60....

Well I would be thinking the following parts or items to check:
- rim likely bent/done... new alloy will be pricey
- big inch tire may be damaged... look for any tears, cuts or bulges/separation on the sidewall
- 4 wheel- wheel allignment to see if things were moved, rear suspension or even frame twisted..check to see if box clearances to cab are the same side to side
- wheel bearings for any rough spots when rotating
- and what component would have take the thrust from the side..not sure if this is inside the rear differential or outside near the rims/mounting. So perhaps the rear diff as well.
- exhaust hangers form the sideways whip
- make sure both tail light assemblies work and don't have broken mounts
- make sure spare tire carrier and asssembly functions
- suspension componenets and even shocks and mounting points
- e-brake operation
- might want new wheel studs even??
- probably a good idea to inspect rear brake caliper assembly, pads and rotor even
that's my 2 cents
