Hello cruiser heads!
Wow, what a couple of months. We have a lot to talk about at the next meeting. Cruise Moab was a huge success. I think more people from the club were in attendance that any prior year. We also had a big showing at the Overland Expo in Flagstaff. What a great event at a perfect venue! If you can only make it to 2 events in a year I would highly recommend putting those way up there on your list.

EVENTS
We have some great events coming up in the next couple of months.

  • Prior to the Off Road Show, the Grand Mesa Jeep Club will be hosting Rock Junction, 3 (Wed-Fri) days of trail rids for all interests and skill levels. The event is filling up fast if not full already. For info email grandmesajeepclub@gmail.com

  • The Grand Junction Off Road Show is June 2 at the mesa county fair grounds. Book Cliff Cruisers will have a booth set up (in the shade of Jonathan's Foxwing) and would like to see as many members and their rigs show up as possible. There is a Show-and-Shine open to all vehicles, vendor booths, a swap meet and food. There will even be a rock crawling course setup for multiple skill levels. Special thanks to Corie for getting the rock and working with the Grand Mesa Jeep Club on making it happen. Stop by and tell her thanks when you are there. The best part about all of the above is that it's free!

  • June 3 is the annual desert cleanup in the north desert area around 27 1/4 road. Even if you can only make it out for an hour or two everything will greatly help and is greatly appreciated, I'd really like to see everyone try to make it out. I'll have more infor posted in the clubhouse when I get it.

NEW MEETING LOCATION
Our New Meeting Location is the north desert area at 27 1/4 road! We will meet at the gravel lot on the left side of the road 3 miles out. For the tech folks here that is N 39.1625, W 108.5358. The road is well suited to passenger cars and the lot is large enough for all of us. We will have Burgers, Brat's and beverages for all. Food and beverages are free but donations will be accepted. :) You may bring a side if you wish but it is not necessary. Our next meeting is June 6th at 7:00pm. Dinner starting at 6:30.

  • Directions: From I-70 Exit 31 (Horizon Dr). Head northwest on Horizon Dr. for 0.6 Miles Enter the roundabout and take the 3rd left onto H Road. Drive 1 Mile and turn right on 27 1/4 Road. Head North on 27 1/4 for 3.1 miles. We will be on the left.
CONNECTIONS
The majority of our discussion goes on in the IH8MUD Clubhouse. Keep tabs on it for up to the second information. CO- Book Cliff Cruisers

VOLUNTEERS

We are always looking for help. If you have a unique skill or talent that you would like to share with us please let us know.
Current urgent needs:

  1. We need staffing at the BCC tent at the off-road show. this person will assist other members in providing information to the public about what we do and how to sign up.
  2. We need a web designer to help us put a new face to our website which has not received much attention lately. Specifically a refresh that can be added to by any of our officers.
  3. We need someone (ore ones) who can work with other trail users on land use projects. Combining our forces and having a presence at other meetings and events and reporting back to the club to be included in the monthly minutes would be a huge help and we are currently pretty tapped out.
If you made it this far in the letter, thanks for reading, and we will see you on the trail. You can always reach me at this email address as well as on any of the social media outlets.
