Here are the minutes from this month's meeting!

Forestry Service:
Most of the trails are open. Bald might still be closed.

Crystal Mountain Cleaning and Trail Run:
This month's trail run will be the Crystal Mountain clean up. We will head up Saturday, camp Saturday night and clean the trail Sunday. There is not specific time for meeting on Saturday. We will meet at the normal campground any time on Saturday.
The campground is just before the rock ledge. It will be to your left, just over the stream in the meadow.
We will be meeting at the campground of Saturday, June 13th.

We have renewed our status as a non-profit organization.

This year's raffel vehical is a 1989 Jeep Wrangler. Tickets are $3 each or $25 for a book of ten. Talk to Bruce if you would like to get tickets for yourself or to sell.

New forest service maps will be out no later than December. These are not stand alone maps but they are VERY accurate. I was asked to mention that Frank really, really, really hates a number of things about these maps. :)

Raffle tickets and money will be due at the November meeting. No exceptions! The drawing is December 5th.

There has been some talk about going to Moab in September as a club trip. We would leave Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning and return on Sunday.

Elections will be in July. We are looking for a new Secreaty and the President seat is available as well. Bob has more-or-less been nominated for President.

Bob will be reporting to us about the TLCA meetings.

There was a new person today: Rob had moved here from California and drives a 4 Runner.

Frozen Spider Web trail will be open soon.

HAM Radio information:
Book $25
Test $15
New Radio $150 (Used can be less.)

Bruce will post the coordinates for the meadow campsite.

Hope to see you all on the next trail run!

:steer:To get to the camp site, take the Crystal Mountain trail 2.1 miles from the gate to the ledges area. Turn left just before the big ledges at:
Turn 1: 40°31'42.92"N 105°24'57.62"W
That trail splits again at:
Turn 2: 40°31'38.16"N 105°25'16.66"W
Take another left here and cross the small stream to the meadow on the other side, which is were we will be camped at:
Camp: 40°31'35.67"N 105°25'16.67"W
:beer:Some people may camp Friday night, others will show up at various times Saturday. The main club camping night will be Saturday night and trail clean up will be Sunday morning. If you can't camp, you can still join us Sunday for trail clean up and a run to the top of Crystal.

If you aren't familiar with the Crystal Mtn. trail, the trail head is at:
Trail head: 40°32'44.16"N 105°24'47.87"W
You can get to this using the Crystal Mtn. road, which forks left off of Buckhorn Road at:
Crystal Mtn. Road: 40°34'9.55"N 105°25'41.19"W
Don't be intimidated by the gate--it isn't locked and the road is public, however, all land along it is private, so don't pull off the road.

If you don't know how to get to the Buckhorn road, buy a freakin' map (or Google it)! :hillbilly:

Bruce

Thankya, thankya, thankya...

Ahem.....

Sorry I missed the meeting. :frown: Thanks for the TLCA rep position vote and I accept.:bounce:
