I posted this under the chassis classifieds but not sure who all sees that...

I have for sale my 1972 FJ40 frame. Everything is disassembled, but I'm happy to include my stock axle housings, leaf springs, manual steering gear, drag links and so forth if you want them. Or, potentially bundle with Lares rebuilt FJ60 power steering gear and power steering components if you would like them.

I put some serious time/money/thought into the frame. It was:
- Sand blasted
- Modified by local welding shop to move crossmember back (space to fit 2F + 4 speed), box the frame for FJ60 power steering gear, replace the shock towers with Ford towers for power steering conversion
- Hot dip galvanized
- Powder coated black

Few additional pictures are here showing the frame's journey, more available upon request. The frame is still mostly wrapped in thin cushioning material from when it was powdercoated.

I think I burned like $5k on the frame.... asking for $3,250 for the frame+title, OBO, and you can have whatever axle/suspension stuff I have laying around my garage. Glad to send pictures upon request. Open to offers, willing to discuss delivering it to you within 1k miles or so. I don't know of a reasonable way to ship this.

Bump and a few notes:
  1. I can include any original parts from the FJ40 that I still have and that you would like (1F engine that ran but had low compression on one cylinder, suspension, axle housings, knuckle components, body pieces, etc.). Pictures available upon request
  2. I will include a rebuilt FJ60 power steering gear box + a shaft and u-joints needed as part of a power steering conversion. FJ60 power steering is a bolt-on task given the work already done to the frame
  3. I will consider delivering within 1,000 miles of Chicago
  4. Reach out if you're interested and want to discuss
