As you've seen in the emails from OB, our meeting is coming up on May 1 at Hooters in Hackensack. As part of the meeting, the club will need to cover some important club business including but not limited to; electing officers, change in club organization, discussing CMCC, discussing other club wheeling opportunities, and identifying non-wheeling activities and/or events that would benefit others.
Effective immediately we need to start receiving nominations for new club officers. The positions are as follows:
President
Vice President
Secretary - can be same as delegate
Treasurer
TLCA Delegate - can be same as secretary
Going forward, I'd like to see the addition of these additional positions:
Web Dude - we have this now, but it is not an elected position nor does it have to be.
Event Director
Registration Director
Membership/Media
Remember, the more we spread the activities the less folks involved have to do individually.
Pres, VP, Secretary and Treas are pretty all straight forward and have responsibilities as you would expect. The TLCA delegate is responsible for relations with the TLCA including being on monthly conference calls and ensuring the club maintains it's good standing in the TLCA.
The new roles would entail:
Event Director - overall coordination of individual events, including CMCC.
Registration Director - would track all registrations and RSVPs for events including on-site of event
Membership/Media - would head up the membership drive and seek opportunities for the club to get any coverage in striving to continue the club growth.
Remember, these roles, as are all of the roles, what you make of them.
All nominations may be made by means of one of the below:
- email to the Members of GCLCNY list - memberofgclc@yahoogroups.com (note the main list of gothamcitycruisers@yahoogroups.com will not be allowed for nominations).
- posting to the nomination thread in the GCLC forum on IH8Mud.com https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?p=468033#post468033
- at the start of the May 1 meeting
- via offlist email to both Mike Kear (mike@yourlandcruiser.com) and Brian O'Loughlin (Brian10895@AOL.COM).
Please support your club by doing your best to attend this meeting. We understand that many of you need to travel a great distance to attend and greatly appreciate your commitment.
