Anyone know what Toyota says the max hitch weight for a 200 series is when using a weight distributing hitch?

I know the manual says 850 lbs, but most manufacturers have two numbers; one with we and one without.

I emailed Toyota USA but still waiting for a response.

It's 850lbs with WD. I believe I've read 500lbs without.

That said, I'm at ~1000lbs hitch weight with my Airstream 27FB. She handles it just dandy. You'll definitely want correctly adjusted WD. Too little, and you can't transfer enough tongue weight to the front axle and back to the trailer axles. This will compromise steering and sway stability. Get it right, and she'll tow like she's on rails. I've been in conditions with upwards of 50mph gusts. Stable with my Equalizer WD hitch and 1000lb WD bars.
