OK, so technically it’s for the ’64 40, but I am now going to copy this set-up for the ’61 25 when the time comes, so here goes…

Read through the whole ’25 master cylinder’ thread, and I wondered if anyone’s tried keeping the original drum set-up, but with a newer dual master? And before someone asks, yes I did a long search but only found many articles concerning disc conversions…if I missed it in any thread, then I must apologise as I may not have been able to see the forest through the trees!

I want to keep both cruisers ‘looking’ stock, but I rather have good brakes. Would it be easier to get all the parts from a ’74 40, and install them in both Cruisers?

Thanks in advance,
Dean

Dean, I considered this for Krusty, and since I don't necessarily care about power brakes I was going to just find anything with a 1" bore that would bolt up with a minimum of fuss. The single circuit uses a larger diameter brake tube and all so I just went with the sleeve and rebuild because I felt it was easier. If I drive it a lot I'll probably change it out later.
