Was bored this weekend and started daydreaming about all the cool stuff I need on my ride... fridge, lights, ham radio, etc. Then I realized I needed a way to effectively wire this into my truck. After a little research, I ended up on a website where a few people had a really cool setup. So one trip later to the Marine store and about 3 hours of labor...

So far I've only got my ARB air compressor hooked up. The stand alone fuse is the lead to my dual battery switch (solenoid) when I finally get around to it. I decided to bolt it on top of my existing fuse box so I didn't have to make a custom mount.

What gage wire did you use from the battery to the relay and fuse box and what kind of relay is that? Can't quite make out what it says from the pictures.

Better yet, can you list the electrical components you used?

Very nicely done, looks factory.

Thanks.

What if you need to access your fuse box, does that setup get in the way?

Hi, I used 4 gage marine grade cable with marine grade shrink tube and marine grade "tinned" connectors.

Here are the components I used:

Fuse Block: http://www.bluesea.com/products/5025/ST_Blade_Fuse_Block_-_6_Circuits_with_Negative_Bus_and_Cover
Circuite Breaker: http://www.bluesea.com/products/7148/187-Series_Circuit_Breaker_-_Surface_Mount_150A
Large Fuse Block: http://www.bluesea.com/products/5001/MEGA___AMG_Fuse_Block_-_100-300A_with_Cover

I will be adding this in the future for my dual battery setup vs. a National Luna or IBS. It allows for 500 Ampere continuous rating to support high-output alternators, with spikes of over 2000 Ampere.

Couple of things:

- cabling in the National Luna and IBS kits are 4 gage. I recommend going to a thicker 2 gage if you go longer than 10 feet
- connect a Large Fuse Block within 18 inches of each battery (with 150-200 amp fuse), before connecting to dual battery kit
- lots of people are switching to the Blue Sea ACR 7622 due to cost, ruggedness and simplicity

Hope this helps!

Nice work. Mine is similar.
