We’ll meet at Uwharrie Hunt Camp at 9 am on Saturday, March 27th. We’ll continue with the barricade work on Dutch John Trail putting up the last pieces of guardrail we worked on last time. We got several posts from other sites last week so we’ll have them. We’ll then use the wooden posts as bollards. If you’re chainsaw certified please bring your gear and chainsaw. Kyle & Brock will have there gear too so that they can cut the posts for installing the bollards. Another group will work with me on Dickey Bell Trail to cut back the mountain laurel and to install some guardrail there and reinstall some split rail fencing & to reinstall / repair some sections of guiderail fencing that has been busted. We’ll also have folks pick up trash along the trails.
Please bring shovels, post hole diggers, sledge hammers, loppers, hammers, drills, rock bars, wrenches, socket sets, etc. to bolt the guardrails together. Make sure to wear long pants, closed toed shoes, long sleeves, and have food and water with you.
Thanks a lot for you support. We appreciate it. Bye - Terry
