----------- I decided to cross post this from JOCCI to see if we can get a few more rigs to go. This is just food for thought durring the winter-----------
I’ve started the preliminary planning for this year’s “Man vs Wild” Colorado trip. We never got to go on this trip last year due to people getting new jobs, married, pregnant, ect, so this year I’m going do my best to make it happen.
Preliminary Plan:
-DRIVE our rigs (I think a Toyota or two is coming) out to Colorado…… no trailer queens.
-Trip would be 7-10 days depending on everyone schedule
-Trip would most likely be in the early autumn
-Trails will be a little on the mild side, but most trails have optional lines that can get your panties in a bunch really quick.
-A rig with 31” tires and decent skid plates should be able to make it down all of the trails without much problem I would think….. if not, you will find yourself at the end of my winch
-This trip WOULD NOT be child friendly, unless they are experienced campers and think they can hack it.
-Women are welcome; just remember this is a WILDERNESS style trip. Pooping and showering outside will be routine.
Here are the pictures from the Man vs Wild 2010 trip we took for some motivation:
Man vs Wild 2010 WARNING: a ton of pics inside
I will post up a few of the trails I have been looking at on traildamage.com and in the Wells books.
Anyone interested?
